The Point in Pittsburgh in the late 1800s
This lovely lithograph of The Point in downtown Pittsburgh, PA is from the late 1800s. It shows the 1877 Point Bridge across The Monongahela River to the right of The Point (where the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela Rivers meet) and the Union Bridge across the Allegheny River to the left of it. This particular card was used as an example on the Postcard History page to explain how to date postcards.
