Whitewater Rapids Alaska Vintage Postcard
Next American Farm Scenes Postcard →

The original vintage postcard was purchased in Canada and is circa 1910, showing beautiful white-water rapids in one of “The Northlands” rushing streams. Such streams and rivers are found throughout Alaska and Canada and dearly sought by fishermen.
Many of James Oliver Curwood’s books refer to The Northland as being above a certain latitude in Canada, the Territory between Labrador and the Rocky Mountains. Many of his characters are crossing this wilderness on foot, snowshoe, or dog-sled.
