This vintage Niagara Falls postcard is dated 1942, showing a view of both the Horseshoe and American falls from the Niagara River Gorge entrance.

If you look closely you can see the old Maid of the Mist boats in the water. Notice the white water and eddies created by the force of water from the falls.

This is a good view of both falls as they looked in the 1940s.
