This 1910 vintage postcard shows a view of Niagara Falls from the deck of the Maid of the Mist tour boat. Today, you can still board the Maid of the Mist donning plastic rain slickers and hats to see Niagara Falls from the base of each waterfall.

On of the most interesting experiences of a visit to Niagara is a trip under the Falls by means of the Steamer, “Maid of the Mist.” The voyagers are swathed in oil skins as a defense from the saturating spray. The spectacle of the mighty volume of water, passing over the precipice 160 feet above, to fall in thunder on the rocks below is as magnificent as it is impressive.
